Hello Everyone and happy Monday.
Last week in one of my classes, we were reflecting on their progress so far in the year. The group were very open and supportive, meaning that some people became upset and spoke aloud things that I don’t believe they have voiced before :
“ I think it’s been worth it… I’ve been worth it”
“Because I am smart”
“It’s not being who I should be, it’s who I am”
It was a good reminder of how important speaking our truths aloud are.
If you are emotionally stirred by something, it’s probably an indication you need to speak it aloud more.
I believe it’s a sign that your body is yearning for release, craving validation, and seeking acknowledgement. When we hold onto our emotions, they fester within us, causing excess tension.
Therefore, when you verbalise the same feelings you suppress, you often become overwhelmed by emotion. We not only acknowledge their existence but also begin the process of healing and self-acceptance.
So, let us remember the power of speaking our truths aloud.
I hope this week you take a moment to say a word (or two) that stirs something cathartic.
Have a brilliant week.
